Day 15 - 摘橘子 | 烧烤

We had an interaction with the local students today - They brought us to a nearby farm to pick oranges. I initially thought it'd be boring but it turned out to be fun. We gathered at 1.30pm and boarded the charter bus to the farm which took about 30 mins. Upon reaching, we were amazed by the large area of the farm. Although there were a lot of oranges to be picked, only a few of them were sweet, the rest were tasteless or sour.

We've reached the farm!

Lush green vivacity, you call that?

The oranges here are green in colour!

The toilet.. You wouldn't want to do your "big business" here as there is no door!

Curved brinjal

Beautiful scenery near the entrance

Welcome to the guys' station

Back to our bunks to have a little rest before going out again. This time, our destination is somewhere that can reached by foot; a garden near our school for BBQ! Upon reaching, we discovered that their BBQ is not like what we have in Singapore. It is like a campfire where everyone can sit around and chit chat while cooking the food. I find that this is a very interesting way and a whole new experience for us. Other students bought some fireworks and fired them high up into the sky. It is my first time seeing fireworks being fired and they explode just less than 10 metres above your head. Some flares did not extinguish and fell down to the ground. Although fun, it is still dangerous. I guess that's why Singapore does not allow fireworks?

Campfire's burning!
