Day 8 - 堆积如山的功课

We had the privilege to sleep in late today as lessons start at 2pm. Went for lunch at 12.30pm and had my favourite 热干面 again. It simply tastes great! However, it’s not fulfilling enough for a meal and you will feel hungry just 2 or 3 hours after the meal. Weather was cooler today (around 20~26 degrees) so going from the hostel to the classroom was an easier task, without the scorching sun! Our agenda today was to complete chapter 1 and have a quiz followed by FlexSim. This is the first lecture I had in Wuhan and I found it special despite studying exactly the same things we are going to study if we stay in Singapore. I guess the reason being we are in a foreign land and have friends which you do not normally have in class to study with which makes the feeling fresh and unique. The quiz for chapter 1 was not really easy but also not really difficult. I suppose 22/30 is possible? Haha! Also, we got our topics for assignment 1 today. Schedule seems tight, time to buck up!

After lessons it's free and easy time again. We met up for dinner and our destination today was 吉祥馄饨 again. Tried the 虾仁馄饨 today which was also quite delicious. To be honest, it's the best eatery I've gone to in Wuhan till now. Bought a packet of small little white bread snacks. It tastes delicious with strong milk flavour and I'm quite sure they don't have it in Singapore. On the way back, I saw fireworks being laid out on the streets. They look like ordinary boxes but with extraordinary functions. It's the first time I see fireworks in the raw form! Shortly after walking past, they were being fired up. We Singaporeans were amazed by the fireworks but the locals just treat it as an everyday affair, some even ignoring it. I guess no people would ignore any fireworks being fired, isn't it?
