Day 9 - 易君生日快乐!

Wonder who's Yijun? It's Rebecca, the birthday girl for the day! We got ready outside her room at 12.10am and gave her a surprise birthday. Lots of playing around!

All ready?!

Group Photo!

Lessons start at 9am today, which means we do not have much time to sleep! Only managed to catch about 6 hours before waking up for class. Agenda today was to complete chapter 2 followed by quiz 2 and a FlexSim exercise. Short class, about 2 hours. The quiz was a tad easier for me today so I finished it quite fast. The exercise was easy too, with the help of my roommates. :D

Quiz time!

We had our lunch at canteen 2 but at the second floor this time. There are dishes like 新加坡盖饭 which made us go O.o?! Finally, we decided to eat noodles. I had the 牛肉刀削面 which tasted alright except that the soup was full of oil.

Some home taste?

Oily!

Slacked in the bunk in the afternoon when I had this random thought to clean up the room. Seeing that the room's floor is dusty, I decided to clean up the room. My first time cleaning a room so I was quite blur of what to do. Took the mop but forgot the broom. LOL. Cleaning is fun!

嘻唰唰!!

After slacking, we went out for dinner at the night market nearby. As usual, ate stuffs like barbequed sticks and fried rice. Here are some photos.

On the way back to the hostel, I decided to buy speakers. Went to a shop that Edy went to last time. Knowing some flaws about their service, I was extremely cautious when buying from them. I saw a pair of speakers which were quite nice but it seems like the one which was rejected by him as they were faulty. I insisted a test and I found that there is a fault. Turning the tables around, I decided to change to another pair instead.

My new speakers!

Beautiful night view of WUST Zhongnan Campus

When we got back to our hostel, Chin Kuang and myself decided to pay a visit to Yoke May and Rebecca's room as their room was infested by mosquitoes. The lesson learnt: Do not leave the mosquito net open as all of them will fly in! Spent over an hour to clear up all the mosquitoes. Nice exercise!

Fat mosquito!!

Reflection

An eye opener today was the shop where I bought the speakers. Although they were rejected for flaws, they were not kept away but displayed and to be sold to another unlucky customer. This is very dishonest of the shopkeeper. As there were no other shops nearby, I had no choice but to buy it from them. Next time if you are going to buy something from a shop, insist that they demonstrate it in front of you and don't let it get out of your sight. Also, get a receipt! That's the most important evidence that the product is bought from them.
